No UFPA Entrevista, Luana relata a realidade dos povos ind\u00edgenas, tradicionais habitantes da regi\u00e3o do Baixo Tapaj\u00f3s, e que tem enfrentado in\u00fameros desafios na luta pelos direitos garantidos na Constitui\u00e7\u00e3o Federal, mas que na pr\u00e1tica s\u00e3o negligenciados. Em destaque, o reconhecimento \u00e9tnico e o direito a posse da terra.<\/h4>\n<\/header>\n
De acordo, com Luana, \u00e9 s\u00f3 por meio dessas conquistas que os povos ind\u00edgenas e tradicionais podem de fato combater as amea\u00e7as a exist\u00eancia e a dignidade das comunidades. Afetados pela explora\u00e7\u00e3o madeireira, pelo desmatamento e polui\u00e7\u00e3o do agroneg\u00f3cio, contamina\u00e7\u00e3o dos rios pelo garimpo e ainda pela cria\u00e7\u00e3o de barragens para hidrel\u00e9tricas, \u00a0os ind\u00edgenas atuam permanentemente atrav\u00e9s de suas entidades representativas como o Conselho Ind\u00edgena Tapaj\u00f3s Arapiuns (CITA), um dos principais movimentos de resist\u00eancia da regi\u00e3o. Para Luana Kumaruara, o conhecimento tem sido fundamental na luta por esses direitos.”Eu uso a Universidade como espa\u00e7o pol\u00edtico mesmo, e uso tudo que eu aprendo na atua\u00e7\u00e3o do movimento. E a gente ta sendo essa ponte pra nossa base, a nossa base precisa de informa\u00e7\u00e3o. A gente ta com essas informa\u00e7\u00f5es e tem que haver essa reciprocidade dos jovens e das nossas lideran\u00e7as que lutaram por esse espa\u00e7o pra n\u00f3s na Universidade e a gente aproveita esse espa\u00e7o para fazer nossa milit\u00e2ncia e lutar por nossos direitos \u201d, comenta Luana.\n
